Parent & Student  Help Needed: Face Coverings / Social Distancing
As we continue our summer sessions and get closer to the start of the Pride Camp, we need help from everyone. When students are “on task” in rehearsal it is much easier for students to comply and staff to monitor the social distancing and face coverings for our students. However, we are meeting challenges in the time before and after our sessions / rehearsals with students maintaining a 6 foot social distance and wearing their face coverings. We ask all students to be more emphatic (and parents to reinforce with their children) how important this is for the Pride to continue our progress into the 2020 season. This is now the NEW NORM for the CULTURE of our Pride of Broken Arrow. All students must wear their face covering prior to beginning rehearsal and only remove a face covering to drink water (eat) or at the direction of a staff member. Students in their time prior to rehearsals will definitely want to socialize with their friends (this is totally understandable and encouraged), however, it must occur with 6 foot social distancing and face coverings. Thank you for your attention with this matter…. Go Pride 2020!

Pride Return to Rehearsal and Conditioning Plan

We are excited to have an approved plan that allows the Pride to begin a return to activities. Broken Arrow Public Schools has determined it is safe (as of June 1, 2020) to return to activities. In order to ensure the safety of all, the following procedure are now in place at our school facilities.
  • - ALL must wear masks to enter the facility or building (and remain on until activities begin)
  • - Students are to initially provide their own mask / face covering; though, the band may provide masks to students in the future
  • - ALL must check in each day before entering the facilities and compete a COVID-19 survey. Any ‘YES’ answers on the survey will prohibit entry and sent home for further evaluation. (See sample 'COVID-19 Daily Survey’ below)
  • - Locker / Changing Facilities are closed and off limits. Students are to arrive “dressed out” and are to leave the campus immediately following their activity
  • - Temperatures of ALL will be taken prior to any activity and logged daily. Temperatures of 100.4 or above will prohibit entry and sent home for further evaluation.
  • - On workout stations, no more than 3 students per piece of workout equipment
  • - ALL are maintain a distance of 6 feet apart from other groups, if possible
  • - ALL must sanitize / hand wash prior to entering the facility
  • - Students must provide their own water bottle (jug), and sharing with others isn’t permitted.

REVISED Pride Workout Schedule - from the Athletic Department
