Broken Arrow Athletics - Limited Stadium Capacity
Games at Broken Arrow’s Memorial Stadium will operate at only 25% of capacity this year. Last week info was shared via Cut Time to Pride parents of the offer that BA Athletics has generously held 2 tickets per participant (Football players, Spirit Groups, Band, etc). Tickets not purchased by Sunday evening (TODAY) will be released and sold to the general public beginning on Monday. PLEASE take advantage of this ticket offer NOW and don’t wait until they have been released to the public for this week’s game. Refer to your Cut Time email for details of how to purchase these tickets online (BA Athletics are only accepting online purchases for tickets this year and NO tickets will be available at the ticket booths on game day). Additionally, all Patrons are required to wear a mask in the stadium, leave an empty seat(s) between family households and every other row in the stadium is clearly marked to be ‘blocked off’ for social distancing. The BA Athletic Department is doing an amazing job making events safe for attendance. PLEASE let them know how much our Pride Family appreciates their hard work!

Parent & Student  Help Needed: Face Coverings / Social Distancing
As we continue our summer sessions and get closer to the start of the Pride Camp, we need help from everyone. When students are “on task” in rehearsal it is much easier for students to comply and staff to monitor the social distancing and face coverings for our students. However, we are meeting challenges in the time before and after our sessions / rehearsals with students maintaining a 6 foot social distance and wearing their face coverings. We ask all students to be more emphatic (and parents to reinforce with their children) how important this is for the Pride to continue our progress into the 2020 season. This is now the NEW NORM for the CULTURE of our Pride of Broken Arrow. All students must wear their face covering prior to beginning rehearsal and only remove a face covering to drink water (eat) or at the direction of a staff member. Students in their time prior to rehearsals will definitely want to socialize with their friends (this is totally understandable and encouraged), however, it must occur with 6 foot social distancing and face coverings. Thank you for your attention with this matter…. Go Pride 2020!

PRESIDENTS
First open rehearsal is this week on Tuesday before the band booster parent meeting at 7:30 some basic reminders:

  • No video during these practices
  • This is the directors classroom so please treat as such
  • The start time is approximate.  We will open the stands once we get the OK from the directors
  • Feel free to cheer when you see something you like.
We look forward to seeing you Tuesday!

We are also looking forward to the first football game and Pride performance for the season. Keep in mind that game-week schedules are always subject to change. The band program as well as the athletic department are also navigating many unknowns and many “firsts” due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Please be patient and flexible, and watch for updates via Cut Time email and text. You should direct questions regarding football tickets to the BAHS Athletic Department.
