-BA Bands Parent Association-

PRESIDENTS
We will be having a band parent meeting on September 8th at 7:00pm in the field house.

Huge thanks to all those who helped get the season off to a good start this week. Whether you helped get things ready for Saturday’s performance, or worked concessions at either of two games, your support is critical for our kids’ success. Here were just some of the week’s activities: organized and distributed uniform components, fed and watered the students, checked temperatures at arrival, labeled the stadium seats, and stocked the concession stands. Special thanks to the ops guys for making the first game run smooth and the uniform moms for all the work they have been putting in.

Due to limited stadium capacity this year, concession stands sales will be a lot lower than normal. Please keep that in mind as we focus our fundraising efforts on the car show and the car raffle coming up.

We would like to re-wrap our trailers this year. (Change the images on the sides and back). If anyone has any connections that might be helpful for us please contact Jason Barnes or Daren Jett.

I hope everyone was as excited as I was to watch the students perform Tuesday night and Saturday at the game. Watching them perform was a great joy amid many of the negative impacts of the pandemic. As senior parents, this was one of many last firsts. Enjoy the season. It will come and go way too fast.

VICE - PRESIDENTS

If you are a uniform washer parent for hornline or percussion, please come to the band hall Monday (tomorrow) evening at 7:30. We will have a brief instruction meeting and pick up uniforms to wash this week. Uniforms will need to be returned THURSDAY. Information will come soon for color guard washers.

A BIG thank you to the parents who have helped me with temperature check-ins the past few months. It’s been hot, sometimes early, sometimes late, sometimes running all over the campus trying to find kiddos, but you did it with a smile on your face and I appreciate you so much!
