2022 PRIDE INFORMATION

Horn Line Audition Results!
Horn Line auditions have concluded. We are pleased to announce the membership of the 2022 edition of the Pride of Broken Arrow Horn Line. This is going to be an amazing group; ALL sections are looking VERY strong for this season!! Thank you to all who participated in the Auditions. A complete listing can be found on the Prideâ€™s website Home Page at www.BrokenArrowPride.com. Rehearsal info, and upcoming meetings will be sent out this so we can begin the 2022 season officially!. Go Pride!

Percussion
The Pride percussion section will audition after the conclusion of the Indoor Percussion season. Pride of Broken Arrow Percussion auditions will be held Monday, May 2nd and Tuesday, May 3rd from 6-8 PM at BAHS. Audition information and materials will be available on Monday, April 25th from the BAHS/BAFA/All BA Middle School Band Room(s) and Director(s).

BA Band Booster Club Meeting This Week
On Tuesday (4/12) the BA Band Booster Club will meet at the High School Band Room at 7:00pm.

Pride Banquet Save the Date April 29
Save the Date! The Pride Banquet is tentatively scheduled for Friday, April 29th at the Renaissance Hotel & Conference Center. Ticket Information will be available at this week's Booster Club Meeting. This will be an amazing event to celebrate all of the successes of the season.

Spring High School Band Trip for Symphonic Band 2 & Concert Band
We are excited that the HS Symphonic Band 2 and Concert Band will take a trip to Branson, MO to perform in the Heartland Music Festival AND spend time at Silver Dollar City. This will be a 1 day trip to Branson and back to BA all in the same day on Saturday, May 7. Fundraising opportunities are available to assist students in making their monthly payments. Please contact our BABBC Fundraising Chair at BABandFundraising@gmail.com for more information. The band trips are as follows:

OSSAA State Band Contest THIS Week
This week, 6 wind bands from BAHS and the Freshman Academy will appear in the OSSAA State Band Contest. For specific information, refer to itineraries that will be distributed by your student's band director. The performances are free and open to the public.

Freshman Academy Bands - Upcoming Events
The Freshman Academy Bands will have a Pre-Contest concert at BAFA on April 7. The Concert begins at 7:00 pm in the gym. BAFA schedules for TCC and OSSAA can be found in Canvas Assignments through HAC. 8th grade auditions for BAFA are due April 8 in Canvas.

Freshman Symphonic Band Contest Schedule for Tuesday:
6:45am - Report to FA
9:15am - Performance (open to the public)
4th period return to classes (ECHS/Vanguard remain at FA for the remainder of the day)

Freshman Wind Ensemble Band Contest Schedule for Tuesday:
Attend morning classes
11:00 - Depart FA for Owasso - lunch at Owasso (on your own)
1:00pm - Performance (open to the public)
2:30pm - Approximate return time to FA

Note: Arrival at the FA could be delayed, students should have a plan for a ride home if they miss their bus

Band Scholarships - Applications Now Available
The BA Bands are pleased to now offer THREE SCHOLARSHIPS to a Broken Arrow High School Seniors who are current members of the BA Bands and plan to enter an institution of higher education. The CAROL DAVIS, PARIS YORK and KEN GRASS Memorial Scholarships are each Scholarships of $1,000.00 may be utilized to cover the costs of tuition, books, fees or other expenses while attending an institution of higher education. The application form is an online form and is due in the band office by April 30. Supplemental materials are to be submitted to Mrs. Good in the Band Office.

INDOOR PERCUSSION

Congratulations to the members of the 2022 Broken Arrow Indoor Percussion, the 2022 WGPO Percussion-Scholastic World State Circuit Champions! THANK YOU to all of our parent volunteers and staff for your work on hosting a tremendously successful WGPO Circuit Championships at BAHS this past Saturday! Without your help, work, dedication, and commitment to our students and program, we simply would not be able to do what we do!

WGI World Championships are just 2 weeks away; we are excited to begin our final "push" to the World Championships in Dayton, OH April 21-23! We will have an open rehearsal at the end of the week on Saturday, April 16th from 4:30-5:00 PM at the BAHS Main Gym; we hope to see you there!

Broken Arrow Indoor Percussion will be traveling to Dayton, Ohio to compete at the WGI World Championships April 21-23! All performances for Broken Arrow Indoor will be at the University of Dayton Area in Dayton, Ohio.

Wednesday, April 20th: Depart BAHS @ 5:30 AM, Rehearse in Indianapolis Area, Arrive in Dayton
Thursday, April 21st: PRELIMS PERFORMANCE at 1:11 PM (EST), Rehearse in Dayton Area (PM)
Friday, April 22nd: Semifinals Performance (AM); Semifinals begin @ 9 AM
Saturday, April 23rd: (Should we advance to Finals) Rehearse in Dayton Area (AM), Finals begin @ 5 PM
Sunday, April 24th: Return to BAHS
