Indoor Percussion Send Off Performance - CHANGE!
We hope you join us for our Send-Off performance this Monday, April 18th at 7:30 PM at the BAHS Main Gym/Tiger Fieldhouse. Doors will open at 7:15 PM, with the festivities and performance starting at 7:30 PM. We sincerely hope to see you there to support these incredible students!

OSSAA State Concert Band Contest
The BA Bands have just completed a successful OSSAA Contest season! 5 High School & Freshman Academy Bands received Superior Ratings on the Concert Stage as well as all 6 bands receiving a Superior Rating in the Sight Reading Contest. This, paired with the Prideâ€™s Superior Rating last fall at the OSSAA Marching Contest, make 5 BANDS OSSAA Sweepstakes Awards Recipients. Congratulations to all of our band performers and their directors!

2022 PRIDE INFORMATION

Horn Line
Rehearsal schedules will be released soon. Mandatory Summer Camp will begin no earlier than July 20. All Summer Vacations must be completed by this date.

Color Guard
Color Guard rehearsals have already started. Mandatory Summer Camp will begin no earlier than July 20. All Summer Vacations must be completed by this date.

Percussion
The Pride percussion section will audition after the conclusion of the Indoor Percussion season. Pride of Broken Arrow Percussion auditions will be held Monday, May 2nd and Tuesday, May 3rd from 6-8 PM at BAHS. Audition information and materials will be available on Monday, April 25th from the BAHS/BAFA/All BA Middle School Band Room(s) and Director(s).

BA Band Booster Club Meeting May 17
The next BA Band Booster Club Meeting will be at the BA PAC on Tuesday, May 17 at 7:00pm. The meeting will serve as the official â€˜kick offâ€™ to the 2022 season and much of the meeting will be devoted to information about the 2022 Pride of Broken Arrow.

Pride Banquet Save the Date April 29
The Pride Banquet will return to the Renaissance Hotel and Conference Center on Friday, April 29 and begin at 7:00pm. This year's Pride Banquet will once again feature: Season Celebration, Photo Montage, Student Achievement Awards, and a dance following the event. Note: This is a celebration for the 2021 season (does not apply to NEW members for 2022).

Pride Members: will receive 1 complimentary banquet ticket. Members must pick up their ticket from Mrs. Good in the HS Band Office. Members ONLY will receive preferential seating in the front of the ballroom.

Parents, Friends and Guests: Tickets are available for purchase (online only) and you may select the available table number that you would like to be seated. Tickets are $50 per person. When purchasing your tickets, you will choose your table (a map is available). You will be able to see how many seats are available at each table prior to your purchase. You may use the table number to coordinate with other friends and guests if you wish to sit at the same table together. Some tables will be listed as â€œclosedâ€ (reserved for students and staff) or â€œsold outâ€ (previously sold).

Spring High School Band Trip for Symphonic Band 2 & Concert Band
We are excited that the HS Symphonic Band 2 and Concert Band will take a trip to Branson, MO to perform in the Heartland Music Festival AND spend time at Silver Dollar City. This will be a 1 day trip to Branson and back to BA all in the same day on Saturday, May 7. Fundraising opportunities are available to assist students in making their monthly payments. Please contact our BABBC Fundraising Chair at BABandFundraising@gmail.com for more information. The band trips are as follows:

Freshman Academy Bands - Upcoming Events
We are excited that the Freshman Academy Bands will also take a trip to Branson, MO to perform in the Heartland Music Festival AND spend time at Silver Dollar City. This will be a 1 day trip to Branson and back to BA all in the same day on Saturday, May 7.

Band Scholarships - Applications Now Available
The BA Bands are pleased to now offer THREE SCHOLARSHIPS to a Broken Arrow High School Seniors who are current members of the BA Bands and plan to enter an institution of higher education. The CAROL DAVIS, PARIS YORK and KEN GRASS Memorial Scholarships are each Scholarships of $1,000.00 may be utilized to cover the costs of tuition, books, fees or other expenses while attending an institution of higher education. The application form is an online form and is due in the band office by April 30. Supplemental materials are to be submitted to Mrs. Good in the Band Office.

INDOOR PERCUSSION

The 2022 WGI World Championships are finally here THIS WEEK! The students have been absolutely incredible this last few weeks putting on the final preparations for our 2022 program "The Winter Boys", and are firing on all cylinders going into our final days of the 2022 season!

WGI World Championships | April 21-22-23, University of Dayton Arena- Dayton, Ohio
Broken Arrow Indoor Percussion will be traveling to Dayton, Ohio to compete at the WGI World Championships April 21-23! All performances for Broken Arrow Indoor will be at the University of Dayton Area in Dayton, Ohio.

Wednesday, April 20th: Depart BAHS @ 5:30 AM, Rehearse in Indianapolis Area, Arrive in Dayton
Thursday, April 21st: PRELIMS PERFORMANCE at 1:11 PM (EST), Rehearse in Dayton Area (PM)
Friday, April 22nd: Semifinals Performance (AM); Semifinals begin @ 9 AM
Saturday, April 23rd: (Should we advance to Finals) Rehearse in Dayton Area (AM), Finals begin @ 5 PM
Sunday, April 24th: Return to BAHS

Broken Arrow Jazz Bands
The Broken Arrow HS Jazz 1 and E-Jazz Ensembles will perform at the annual Spring Jazz Concert on Tuesday, April 26th at 7:00 PM at the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center- Lobby. In addition, both ensembles will travel to Oklahoma Christian University on Wednesday, April 27th to perform at the OSSAA State Jazz Contest; E-Jazz performs at 10:30 AM, and Jazz 1 performs at 1:20 PM. The full itinerary can be found HERE! We hope you join us April 26th and 27th to support these BA Jazz students in their upcoming performances!
