Next Band Parent Meeting - September 8
The next meeting of Broken Arrow Band Parents Association will be at 7:00pm on September 8 in the BAHS Band Hall.


Pride and Concert Band Instrument User Fees due September 11
All Pride members that play a school owned instrument must submit their $35 Instrument User Fee no later than this Friday. All User Fees not submitted by Friday will have that charge deducted from the member's Student Account.


Tradition Rehearsal THIS Saturday
The Full Pride and Tradition Marching Bands will learn the Pre-Game show on Saturday, August 29 from 9:00-11:30 at Tiger Field. This should be an exciting rehearsal as we coordinate over 480 members into our Tradition PreGame show. Tradition members will check out their uniforms immediately following the rehearsal until approximately 1:30pm.


Attendance Communication
As a reminder, members must communicate all Pride rehearsal absences by emailing attendance@brokenarrowpride.com. Please remember that ALL rehearsals and performances are mandatory.

FUNCTIONS

Uniform reminders:

• No Food or Drink is allowed in the Shako box, in the uniform garment bags, or in the kids while in uniform!  Thank you for your cooperation with this!

• All gloves, socks, shoes and additional tradition tshirts may be purchased from the uniform ladies. We are no longer accepting cash, your name will be taken and the amount will be charged to your students account.

We need lots of hands to help with tradition uniform check out on Saturday, August 29th. If you are able to help please send an email to bauniform@gmail.com and meet in the band hall at 11:00am.

DATE EXTENDED-If you are interested in having a Pride Jacket by Grand Nationals, you need to place your order by August 31st. PRIDE LETTER JACKETS- If you are ordering a Pride Jacket, Yvonne’s Monogram needs a $50 deposit ASAP! Yvonne’s Monogram is located at 7844 South Elm Place, Broken Arrow, OK 74011 (This is approximately 131st and Elm.) 918-451-1902


OPERATIONS
Meetings are MONDAY - FRIDAY @ 6:00pm and SATURDAYs @ 9:00am at the stadium. We are making great progress on the props, only a few weeks to go! We will be using the same shirts as last year so stop by Yvonne’s and purchase one if your are a part of the operations team.

Concessions
We need two more volunteers for Monday evening the 24th.

Last minute scrimmage game announcement! This Tuesday August 25th BA will host Jenks in a scrimmage game at 6pm. Volunteers will be needed at 5:30. Email baconcessions@gmail.com if you are available for this game.

If you did not receive the concessions email this past week, listing the first four weeks games, please Email baconcessions@gmail.com.

Special Events

Broken Arrow Invitational - Saturday, October 3
CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP NOW TO HELP WITH BAI.

You must sign up before Sept 18th to reserve an Event Staff shirt for yourself. Pride kids are allowed to work in the afternoon and are encouraged to do so. They must sign up using this form and choose Pride Member from the pull down menu. Guard members should check with Wes first for practice schedule that day.

OSSAA State Marching Contest - Wednesday, October 28 - During the school day. 8am-3pm

If you can be available to help during the day, if you don’t work during the week or if you can take off that day, Please email me at baspecialevents@gmail.com and put OSSAA in the subject line.

Road trip Inspection

Hercules Tires, at 805 W Kenosha ((918) 251-1987), is offering a free vehicle inspection for all Pride families. With the driving season upon us, Hercules wants to make sure your family cars are road ready. Stop by anytime, mention you are with the BA Pride, and they will take care of you!

Sponsors Needed

Speaking of feeding the Pride, we are still looking for a few more restaurants who can help us with food. If you have contacts at a restaurant, please let us know!

We are also looking for other companies to partner with us through sponsorships.

Volunteer Grants

Did you know that some companies pay volunteer grants for their employees who volunteer hours for organizations. Is your company one of those? Do you work for Walmart, DirecTV, IBM or State Farm? Those are 4 companies of the many who offer volunteer grants. Check with your HR department!
