Section Gifts
As we approach our two big trips of the Pride season, I know many sections and their parents are already planning for special gifts for the member to help celebrate. We know that the Pride activity requires a significant commitment from members and their families. To help ensure that section gifts do not add to the financial burden, we ask that limit the cost of any section gifts for the entire season to $25 or less. (That limit can be over and above the cost of section shirts, if necessary). Concerning section shirts, we would like to remind all section leaders and their parents that all section shirts should be short-sleeved T's ONLY and all artwork must be approved by the directors in advance of any orders being placed.

OBA Finals Reserved Tickets
Ticket Requests may be placed beginning Tuesday for OBA Finals Tickets. The BA Band will be able to secure a limited number of tickets in the "BA Section”. Tickets are $10 each and will assigned on a first come, first served basis. Tickets may also be purchased at the stadium on contest day, but can't be guaranteed to be placed in the "BA Section." Place ticket orders with Mrs. Good at the HS Band Office. Tickets will be delivered once we receive them from OBA (typically the week prior to the contest).  NOTE: Previous eNews editions have advertised the ticket price as $10, however, OBA has made a price increase to $17.

Indoor Percussion Informational Meeting
It’s time to start the journey to Dayton and the WGI World Championships! There will be an info meeting for all students and parents interested in 2017 Broken Arrow Indoor Percussion on Monday, October 24 from 6:30-7:30 in the Band Hall. All members of the Pride are eligible for membership in the Drumline, Front Ensemble and (new for this year) the Visual Ensemble. The Visual Ensemble will consist of approx 14-15 students, in which all members of Pride (color guard, winds and perc) are eligible for membership. Info about auditions, rehearsal and performance schedule, trips to the Dallas Regional and World Championships in Dayton as well as a sneak peak to the 2017 program and show title will be addressed at this meeting.

FUNCTIONS
Reminder
: Any time the students are fed by the band, we ask that no additional outside food or special drinks be brought to the students. The students have plenty of food and drink. It’s not fair to all of the other band members if one student gets special treatment and they don’t. If there is a unique dietary need, we have asked for that information and will provide that for them. Thank you for your help with this policy.

Student Travel & Medications: Students with prescription medication must turn them in to Ms. Good in the band office prior to our St. Louis trip. Only provide the exact amount needed for the trip, in its original prescription container, with name and dosage information included.  Please turn in all medications to Ms. Good by Friday, October 14th!

Hospitality committee hosts a volunteer room for our large events (BAI and OBA) under the stadium. It is a great place to rest and grab a bite to eat while working these events. They will be at practices on Thursday evenings collecting donations for food for both of these days, feel free to drop by and see what they need!!

ATTENTION SENIORS!! We need ONE baby picture and FIVE other band related pictures of you for senior night. We prefer these electronically submitted to bafunctions@gmail.com. Please make sure your name is in the subject line. If you must do hard copies, place them in an envelope and leave in the band office marked “senior pictures for ______________.” All pictures must be submitted by 14 October.

Parents of JUNIORS & SOPHOMORES. We had a good meeting Saturday evening to begin planning for this. If you were unable to attend watch next edition of eNews and the band parent Facebook page for a signup-genius link to volunteer.
