Pride Banquet: April 26th - Ticket Deadline is THIS MONDAY
Ticket sales will end Monday, April 23 at 4:00pm. Unfortunately, NO TICKETS MAY BE SOLD OR PICKED UP AFTER THAT DATE AND TIME. Pride members are admitted free, but MUST HAVE A TICKET
. The Pride Banquet will be held on April 26th at the Tulsa Renaissance Hotel. Tickets are currently on sale in the band office and ticket sales will end on MONDAY! Tickets are $50 each and members will receive a free ticket. This year's Pride Banquet will once again feature: Season Celebration, Photo Montage, Student Achievement Awards, a dance following the event, and a guest speaker.

Banquet Where? When?

  • - Tulsa Renaissance Hotel
  • - Thursday, April 26th
  • - 6:00pm - Ballroom Doors Open
  • - 6:30pm - Program Begins
  • - 9:00pm (Approximate) - Dance begins for students and parents
Student Packets
Each student will receive a “packet” of important items. Packets will be available for pick up AFTER THE BANQUET in the lobby to the ballroom. Each packet contains the following: BOA Grand National and Super Regional personalized certificate, ”Mini” placard patches from BOA Super Regional and Grand Nationals, Pride group photo from the BOA Grand National Championships, …and possibly other surprises….

The Dance
  • - Will begin immediately following the conclusion of the Pride Banquet (approx. 9:00pm - 11:00pm)
  • - Pride members and parents are welcome to enjoy the dance
  • - Pride members will not be allowed to exit the building and return to the dance. Once you leave, you may not return.
  • - Parent Chaperones will supervise and maintain an appropriate, fun environment
  • - Students ARE NOT excused from classes on Friday.
Want to get photos of your children and their friends?
  • - It is suggested that any ‘group’ photos are taken BEFORE 6:30pm
  • - From last year’s experience, the students will be more excited about going to the dance after the banquet than taking group photos :)



Pride Banquet table reservations are open!
Banquet Table Reservations will be taken until 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 24. All reservations will be accepted using the link below. You must purchase or pick up your banquet ticket from Mrs. Good BEFORE making a reservation.
— Each table sits up to 10 people. You do not have to have a party of 10 to make a reservation. Parties smaller than 10 will be grouped with other smaller parties so that each table has 10 people.
— Each reservation submission is automatically timestamped and table availability will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
— Table numbers will be emailed on or before April 26.To make a reservation you will need the following information:
— Email address and phone number of 1 person in the party as a designated contact person;
— Ticket number and name for each person in your party, and whether or not they are a Pride member; and
— Any dietary needs for each member of your party.

Please be sure to double check all information before submitting your reservation. Information cannot be edited once it is submitted. Any changes must be submitted on a new form and will change your timestamp, forfeiting your original place in the reservation queue.
TABLE RESERVATIONS


Carol Davis Memorial Scholarship
The Carol Davis Memorial Educational Scholarship is awarded to a Broken Arrow High School Senior who is a current member of the Pride of Broken Arrow Band and plans to enter an institution of higher education. The Scholarship of $1,000.00 may be utilized to cover the costs of tuition, books, fees or other expenses while attending an institution of higher education. The application form is an online form and is due in the band office by April 28. Supplemental materials are to be submitted to Mrs. Good in the Band Office. Broken Arrow Jazz Bands
Please join us this Tuesday, April 24th at 7:00 PM in the Broken Arrow PAC for our Spring Jazz Concert featuring the Broken Arrow E-Jazz Band and Jazz 1 Ensemble. This Wednesday, April 25th, Broken Arrow E-Jazz and Jazz 1 will be performing at the OSSAA State Jazz Contest at TCC-Southeast Campus. E-Jazz will be performing at 8:50 AM in the Studio Theatre and Jazz 1 will be performing at 1:41 PM in the VanTrease Performing Arts Center. Championship Ring Orders and Sizing
Due to popular demand, we will once again offer Pride Championship Rings to commemorate the Age of Discovery: Return to Xeno season.  More info to come regarding total price and deposit info. This is an optional item that Pride members may choose to purchase. Jostens will size member, take orders and receive all payments. All payments will be made directly through Jostens. See the attached form for pricing info and artwork for the rings.  Jostens will offer one more opportunity to order a 2017 Championship Ring.  Watch the BA Bands Facebook page for info once it's available.

BAHS Graduation
Congratulations to our 2018 Graduates as you complete your High School careers! This is an exciting time to reflect on the great memories and look forward to their exciting futures! All Sophomore & Juniors from the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band 1 are required to perform at the 2018 BAHS Graduation Ceremony on Tuesday, May 15 at the Downtown Tulsa BOK Center. After school rehearsals for these students are May 9, 10 & 14 from 3:15-5:00pm. On Graduation day, all Graduation band members will bus to and from the BOK Center.


Indoor Percussion

Congratulations to the 2018 members of Broken Arrow Indoor, WGI Percussion-Scholastic World Semi-Finalists! Thank you to all of the support staff, volunteers, parents, and staff in helping make 2018 a monumental stepping stone for the future of our program. 2019 will be another step forward in the growth of our program, and we look forward to the future of Broken Arrow Indoor!

2018 Pride of Broken Arrow Horn Line Auditions
Next week will be very busy with the audition process to complete the selection of the 2018 Pride of Broken Arrow. NOTE: The Pride Horn Line Audition Music will be available next week at www.BrokenArrowPride.com

Upcoming Horn Line Audition events include:

  • - April 30 - May 4 (4:00 - 5:45) Pride Horn Line Audition Camp - OUTDOORS (Dress for the Weather)
  • - May 4 (3:30 - finished) Pride Horn Line Music Auditions in the Fine Arts Wing at BAHS
  • - Students should wear a White T-shirt and comfortable Marching Shoes
  • - Bring your Instrument
  • - We encourage students to wear a hat, sunscreen and sun glasses
  • - Brass players: Remember your gloves and bring an extra pair to loan to someone
  • - Tubas: Bring your mouthpiece



2018 Pride of Broken Arrow Percussion Auditions
Auditions for the Pride of Broken Arrow Percussion will be held April 30-May 2 from 3:30-5:30 PM (or as soon as MS students arrive) in the BAHS Band and Orchestra Rooms. Audition music and information can be obtained HERE as well as from all BA Band Directors.

Audition Material/Exercises Include:
Drumline: Legatos, Duple Check Patterns, Two-Height Rolls, Rudiment Sheet
Front Ensemble: Singles, Scales, 7/8 Octaves, Dirt, Alternating Strokes #1, Alternating Strokes #2

Charms
- All Pride accounts should be paid to zero. Credit card payments can now be made in the band office with Mrs. Good. Credit cards can be used for student accounts, Pride Store purchases, and other fees. As always, credit payments may be made through Charms and will automatically post to your students Charms ledgers. Payments can also be mailed to BA Bands, BAHS, 1901 E. Albany, Broken Arrow, OK, 74012.

FUNCTIONS

Call for volunteers.

We will need a few volunteers to help collect tickets at the door, pass out packets after the banquet and also to chaperone the dance following.  Please email bafunctions@gmail.com if you can help.

Banquet Table Reservations will begin at 8 p.m. April 11 and continue until 8 p.m. April 24. All reservations will be accepted using this link: BA Pride Banquet Table Reservations. This link will be posted on our BA Bands’ social media accounts before April 11. You must purchase or pick up your banquet ticket from Mrs. Good BEFORE making a reservation.

You may also bookmark the link on your phone, tablet or computer so that is easily accessed once it goes live on April 11. Each table sits up to 10 people. PRIDE OF BROKEN ARROW NIGHT AT THE DRILLERS - MAY 17!
The Drillers are supporting the Pride with a night of baseball. The more people we have at the game, the more we receive! So mark your calendars now for Thursday, May 17! The Drillers play Springfield that night and game starts at 7:05PM. A fun night for families, Pride sections, friends and more!We will have the link for tickets and more information in just a couple of days. LEGENDS CAR WASH FUNDRAISER - CODE 1219 IS GOOD YEAR ROUND!
Due to weather forecast, we did not hold signs at Legends Car Wash on Sunday. However, the good news is that the code 1219 is good year round. Each time that code is entered, the BA Bands program gets 20% of the sale. The link has a bar code and the code number. CLICK HERE for the link. Download the graphic to your phone so you can show the barcode or give them the code each time you have your car washed at Legends! Legends is located at 2300 W Kenosha St in BA. (Near Apend and Kenosha) Thanks to Legends Car Wash for their support of the Pride!

NOTE TO MEMBERS ABOUT THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUAL ACCOUNT FUNDRAISERS - At the garage sale, I was asked more than once, who can do these fundraisers and how soon can they start. Individual account fundraisers such as the ones below are offered year round for all Pride members (color guard and hornline), whether new (for example the 8th grade girls who recently made color guard) or old (returning veterans from last season), and also whether they are fundraising for Pride only or Indoor Percussion only. Go ahead and start fundraising!

FTH BRACELET FUNDRAISER - This current fundraiser will end on Tuesday, April 24; delivery should be by May 7, so this is a great way to get Mother’s Day ordered! Extra fundraiser packets have been left in the BAHS band office reception area, and the brochures/order form uploaded to the files section of the Broken Arrow Bands Members and Supporters Facebook group. Remember - for every 10 bracelets sold, you earn a free bracelet, so be sure to mark your choice on the order form if you have earned any before turning your orders in.  DUE TO THE QUICK TURNAROUND FOR DELIVERY, NO LATE ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

DISCOUNT CARDS NOW AVAILABLE!!! - They will be available the night of the May band parent meeting. To get discount cards before then, you need to contact Debbie Gowriluk at BABandFundraising@gmail.com to arrange a pickup time. This is the only fundraiser we offer that you do not pay for upfront. You can check out up to 5 cards at one time. Once those cards are sold, you can check out more cards at the same time you turn in the money for the sold cards to Debbie.

Earn Money For Your Band Trip Account - If you would like to work certain events (like Drillers, Expo, etc) and earn money for your band trip account throughout the year, please CLICK HERE to sign up to receive Pride Work emails.

Do you need a Food Handlers Permit? - If you plan to handle food at any of these events, you will need a Volunteer Food Handler’s Permit.
