Band Office Closed this Week
The Band Office will be closed this week (July 2-6) and will open again on Monday, July 9.


Pride Summer Conditioning - Every Tuesday and Thursday!!
Pride Summer Conditioning Sessions will continue each Tuesday and Thursday until we begin the Pride Camp on July 23. However, we will NOT have conditioning sessions on Tuesday, July 3 AND Tuesday, July 17.

Band Finance Office - Charms
Charms accounts are ready for all Pride members. Login is "brokenarrowband" and your password is your student's ID#. Payments can be made via PayPal through Charms, but PayPal will charge a 3.5% service fee. Cash, Credit Card and Check payments can be made to the Fine Arts Finance Office during regular business hours, mailed to the school, or dropped into the payment box in the hallway near the orchestra room. Please visit Charms info pages to update your personal information where it is lacking and register your volunteer hours. This will keep us in touch with you. The first payment of $200 is PAST due. The June payment is $400. Band Summer Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:00-4:00pm. NOTE: The additional Color Guard fee will be $200.

Attendance Communication - Attendance@BrokenArrowPride.com
All members must communicate all Pride absences by emailing attendance@BrokenArrowPride.com Please remember that ALL rehearsal and performances are mandatory beginning July 23. All mini camp and rehearsal sessions prior to July 23 will allow absences based on vacation or attendance to a ‘camp’ (music camp, church camp, etc), however, ALL absences must be communicated in advance. NOTE: The Color Guard Dance Project and Performances are posted.


Pride Physicals Due by July 20
All Pride members must have a new physical on file for the 2018 season. You may choose the physician of your choice BUT MUST SUBMIT THE ATTACHED 2 PAGE OSSAA FORM. The BA Bands intend to host a physical session with one of our sponsors onsite at BAHS in the month of June or July; however, ALL physical forms must be submitted to the Mrs. Good in the band office no later than July 20.


Online Participation Forms - Rank One
Online participation forms are ready for the 2018-2019 season. You must have your student’s ID number to finish online forms. Visit the Rank One website HERE. Begin at the “Home” tab, which will guide you through the process. All electronic forms and physical forms are due by July 23rd . The OSSAA physical forms must be printed and completed by your physician and are due in person to Mrs. Good by July 23rd OR SOONER.

Next Band Parent Meeting August 14
Our next band parent meeting will be on Tuesday, August 14 in the High School Band Hall at 7:00pm.
 

Drums of Summer - DCI Tour of Champions Show in Broken Arrow
The 2018 DCI Show hosted in Broken Arrow will be on Tuesday, July 17 at BA's Memorial Stadium. This year’s event features many of DCI’s top groups in the WORLD: Blue Devils, Blue Knights, Bluecoats, Boston Crusaders The Cavaliers, Phantom Regiment and Santa Clara Vanguard. WOW!! What an amazing line up. Tickets are on sale now at DCI.org. There are also many opportunities to volunteer. Contact VP of Special Events at BASpecialEvents@gmail.com for more info…. Tickets are selling fast and most of the chairback seats have already sold, get your tickets today! (All 2018 Pride members receive G.A. through the pass gate with your student ID)

2018 DCI Tour of Champions - Broken Arrow will host the 2018 DCI Tour of Champions on Tuesday, July 17th at the Broken Arrow Memorial Stadium. We have several jobs available and would love to have you join us! To volunteer for this event, click on the following link , CLICK HERE

OPERATIONS
Appreciate the great turnout at the volunteer fair, and all the parents that signed up! We have a couple projects in the works: cleaning out the Pride Force 1 trailer, assembling new music stands, and some maintenance on supplies under the stadium.

Those that supplied phone numbers will be added to our GroupMe text group with dates and times of future projects in the coming weeks. Looking forward to our first get together of the summer season!

THANK YOU!
A big thank you to everyone who volunteered, coordinated, donated, participated in and attended the Concert of Cars Car Show on Saturday, June 23! We are also so thankful for our vendors and sponsors for this fundraising event. It was a really fun day with close to 100 absolutely beautiful and unique cars!


NEW!! PRIDE CAR WASH FUNDRAISER IS BACK! TWO LOCATIONS - SATURDAY, JULY 14 10AM - 3PM
Mark you calendars! We will be holding a Pride of BA Car Wash Fundraiser on Saturday, July 14! We will wash cars at Wendy’s (County Line/Kenosha) and Ace Hardware (101st/Aspen). This is a group fundraiser that benefits the entire band.

ALL Pride Members will be required to volunteer for one shift at one of the locations for the car wash. These times/locations will be assigned by section/group.. Mr. Davis will send more information out about that later.
ALL Pride Members will be required to bring 3-5 towels.  They can be old towels and can be returned to the student if needed.
Pride Members are encouraged to make poster board signs for street corners since this will be part of participating in this fundraiser.
We also will need parent volunteers and many supplies like soap, sponges, towels, hoses and more.

SONIC CARDS FUNDRAISER - We still have Soniccards available for purchase - no limit to how many you can purchase!  Contact Debbie by calling or texting her if you have her number already or emailing her at  BABandFundraising@gmail.com to get that info to arrange a time to purchase them. The cards must be pre-paid, and the cost is $5 per card.  Cards will sell for $5, so they are 100% profit to your student account. Available on a first come basis, and when they are gone, they are gone.


DISCOUNT CARDS - Discount cards are still available for checking out!  To pick up discount cards outside of scheduled fundraiser pickup dates/times, please contact Debbie Gowriluk at BABandFundraising@gmail.com. This is the ONLY fundraiser we offer that you do not pay for upfront. You can check out up to 5 cards the first time. Once those cards are sold, you can check out more cards at the same time you turn in the money for the sold cards to Debbie. IMPORTANT INFO: If you checked out cards and need more, you need to turn the money in to Debbie to get more cards; if you turn the money in to Mrs. Good, there WILL be a delay in getting more cards because she will need to let me know that the money has been received and recorded before I can check out additional cards to you.  IMPORTANT UPDATE: This fundraiser is scheduled to end on July 31. Many still have cards checked out since April with no money or cards returned yet; please remember that these cards and/or money need to be returned by July 31, or student accounts will be charged per the agreement that was signed when the cards were checked out.


CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER - The next opportunity to purchase chocolate will be on Wednesday, July 11 from 4:30-5:30pm in the band hallway.  Note: Chocolate is ONLY sold during scheduled fundraiser pickup dates/times and band parent meetings.  Cash/checks for payment only please. Important to remember - if you turn in money from selling chocolate, please mark it as a band payment so that it gets posted to Charms that way; you will have already paid the profit upfront. JULY FUNDRAISER - There will not be a new individual account fundraiser for July. The next one will be in August. We still have Sonic cards, discount cards, and chocolate available for individual account fundraisers. Fundraising will be set up in the band hallway for your convenience on Wednesday, July 11 from 4:30-5:30pm. (Remember, chocolate is only available when fundraising is open at the school, so this will be your time to pick some up before the August band parent meeting.)


::::::: PLEASE READ ::::::: - You MUST include your contact information (email address and phone number) on ALL fundraiser order forms before turning them in (even if the form doesn't ask for that info). Also, if you are not receiving our fundraising emails already and you participate in fundraising at all, you need to be added to that email list because that is the best way to receive current news about fundraisers; please ask to be added to that email list if you are not already on it.


LEGENDS CAR WASH FUNDRAISER - CODE 1219 IS GOOD YEAR ROUND!
Need a car wash? Each time the code 1219 is entered, the BA Bands program gets 20% of the sale at Legends Car Wash at Kenosha and Aspen (2300 W. Kenosha). This link has a bar code and the code number. CLICK HERE for the link. Download the graphic to your phone so you can show the barcode or give them the code each time you have your car washed at Legends! Thanks to Legends Car Wash for their support of the Pride!


PRIDE WORK - Earn Money For Your Band Trip Account - There are so many ways to earn money for your band trip account! Start earning money now for the 2018 marching season.

Many of these opportunities go quickly. The work sign-ups are sent via email to those on the Pride Work email list. Please ask to get on the Pride Work email list by writing to bapridework@gmail.com.
