Pride This Week:  Rehearsals, Bonfire, State Championship Game, Christmas Parade
The BA Tiger Football team will play for the 6A1 State Championship on Friday, November 30 at 7:00pm at TU. The entire Pride will, once again, attend to support our Tiger Football Team as they play for the Championship. After much discussion with the BA Athletic Department, OSSAA and BAPS Administration the Pride will perform a portion of “THE United States of America” at halftime of the Championship Game.

All District and All State Auditions
Congratulations to all students that auditioned at the NBDA/OMEA event. We are very proud of the efforts of these talented students. Also, a special THANK YOU to all of the parent and student volunteers that help organize and run the All-District/State auditions! The following are dates of note relating to All District (NBDA) and All State (OMEA) Band.
  • December 1 - Final Round Auditions for All State at Westmoore HS
  • January 11 & 12 - NBDA All District Band Clinic and Concert at Bartlesville HS
  • January 17-19 - OMEA All State Band Clinic and Concert at Tulsa PAC


Broken Arrow Christmas Parade
Saturday, December 1st - 9:15am report time - meet at parking lot of Summit Academy at 1st Street and College (1 block east of Main Street)


BA Tiger Football
All Playoff football games are required and schedule will TBD based on the BA football teams progress throughout the 6A Football Playoffs.


Tradition of Broken Arrow
The Tradition of Broken Arrow is comprised of all Freshman and Sophomore band members AND the Pride of Broken Arrow members. The following is a list of upcoming dates and performances for the Tradition of Broken Arrow.

First Indoor Percussion Payment of $250 is due on Dec 14. Checks to Mrs. Good or the payment drop box.


Jazz 1 Concert
Join us for the Winter Jazz Concert featuring the Jazz 1 Ensemble and the Jazz and show choirs on Sunday (12/2) at 1:30 in the Kirkland Theatre (formerly the North Intermediate Auditorium).


E Jazz Auditions

Auditions for the 2018-19 E-Jazz Band will be held at BAHS on Wednesday (12/12) from 3:15-4:30 PM. E-Jazz is open to all band students in grades 9-12; rhythm section members (drums, bass, guitar, bass guitar, piano) are open to all fine arts students. Audition materials will be available this week in the BAHS and BA Freshman Academy Band Room(s).

December concerts and receptions are coming quickly. Donations of cookies and punch and help serving is needed for the Freshman concert on December 11th and the High School Concert on the 13th. WREATH/EVERGREEN FUNDRAISER- We have a very limited supply of extra wreaths, sprays, and table top trees available for purchase at cost. Contact Debbie at BABandFubdraising@gmail.com and leave your phone number if you are interested in purchasing one or more of them.


SECRET GARDEN CANDLE FUNDRAISER
- Candles have been ordered. Watch your email and the Facebook Members and Supporters Group for updates on delivery time and pickup dates.


CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER - Chocolate is ONLY sold during scheduled fundraiser pickup dates/times and band parent meetings.  Cash/checks for payment only please. Important to remember - if you turn in money from selling chocolate, please mark it as a band payment so that it gets posted to Charms that way; you will have already paid the profit upfront. ::::::: PLEASE READ - IMPORTANT UPDATE::::::: - You MUST include your contact information (email address and phone number) on ALL fundraiser order forms before turning them in (even if the form doesn't ask for that info). Also, if you are not receiving our fundraising emails already and you participate in fundraising at all, you need to be added to that email list because that is the best way to receive current news about fundraisers; please ask to be added to that email list if you are not already on it.  Finally, be sure to join the Broken Arrow Bands Members and Family Group on Facebook.  We will upload fundraiser order forms and guidelines to the files section there each month once they begin.

Need a car wash? Each time the code 1219 is entered, the BA Bands program gets 20% of the sale at Legends Car Wash at Kenosha and Aspen (2300 W. Kenosha). PRIDE WORK - Earn Money For Your Band Trip Account - There are so many ways to earn money for your band trip account! Start earning money now for the 2018 marching season.

Many of these opportunities go quickly. The work sign-ups are sent via email to those on the Pride Work email list. Please ask to get on the Pride Work email list by writing to bapridework@gmail.com.
