Upcoming Band Concerts
Freshman Academy Concert- March 28 - 7:00PM - Freshman Academy Gym


Solo and Ensemble Festival - March 12
The Broken Arrow Solo and Ensemble Festival will be held at BAHS Fine Arts Facility. This event is free and open to public. We encourage all family and friends to join us on March 12. Performance schedule will be released and publicized in eNews once the scheduling process is completed. The first performances begin at approximately 5:00pm and conclude by 8:00pm.  See the schedule HERE


2019 Pride Veteran Movement Training Sessions
All 2019 Pride Horn Line Veterans will begin their off-season training program on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings beginning on March 29 & 30. This will be a dynamic and fun way for our members to be visually prepared for the upcoming 2019 season (similar to our Color Guard Veteran training sessions). Veterans will wear appropriate clothing for visual rehearsals (instruments will not be needed).

Training dates will occur on:
March 29 - Friday - 6:00-9:00
March 30 - Saturday - 9:00-12:00
April 12 - Friday - 4:00-7:00
April 13 - Saturday - 9:00-12:00


Pride Banquet Save the Date - April 26
Save the Date! The Pride Banquet is tentatively scheduled for Friday, April 26th at the Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center. Ticket Information will be available soon. This will be an amazing event to celebrate all of the successes of the season.


Banquet and Account fees!
Banquet is coming up! All Pride members receive a ticket as part of their season fees; however, any student account having a balance due results in that student not receiving their banquet ticket. ALL accounts should now be paid in full. Please check your balances by logging on to www.charmsoffice.com or contact Lisa Good in the band office, lsgood@baschools.org.


Indoor Percussion
Congratulations to Broken Arrow Indoor Percussion, who this past weekend placed 3rd at the WGI Indianapolis Regional in Percussion-Scholastic World in both Prelims and Finals! Broken Arrow Indoor scored a 82.85 in Finals and 82.975 in Prelims; Broken Arrow additionally won the Music Caption in Finals! The competition was elite, including four-World Championship Finalists and three past-World Class Champions. A HUGE Congratulations to all members and staff for their accomplishments and incredible work thus far in the season, and a special THANK-YOU to all of our parent volunteers for their tireless work and support throughout the weekend! Broken Arrow Indoor's next two performances will be March 29th at BAHS for the WGPO Percussion Circuit Championships and April 6th at Burleson Centennial HS (Burleson, TX) for the NTCA Circuit Championships.

Indoor Percussion Payments and Dues
Dues for Indoor Percussion for 2019 are the following:

Battery and Front Ensemble: $1100
Soloist: $750
Visual Ensemble: $500 (DUE THIS FRIDAY)

Checks can given to Mrs. Good in the Fine Arts office or placed in the Fine Arts Wing payment dropbox located in the Orchestra Hallway. Payment due dates for fees are due on the following dates:

Battery and Front Ensemble
March 15th: $350 (DUE THIS FRIDAY)

Soloist & Visual Ensemble
March 15th: $250 (DUE THIS FRIDAY)



Band Parent Meeting - February 5
The next Band Parent Meeting will be February 5th, 2019 in the high school Band Hall.


2019 Color Guard Training Sessions
Auditions will be on March 25 & 26. Additional training dates for returning members (sabre, rifle and dance) are on going and communicated directly via the previously established color guard communication network.

FUNCTIONS

High School Solo and Ensemble contest will be held at BAHS band hall Tuesday, March 12th from 5 to 7pm. If you have volunteered to help please meet in the Fine Arts Office at 4:45 pm. We could use 1 or 2 more adults to help monitor rooms.

Volunteers Needed for March and April concert events:

  • We are in need of 16 volunteers to chaperone TCC BandFest on Friday, March 29th. This is for both the High School and Freshman Academy bands. Click here to sign up to chaperone.
  • April 9th we will need 12 chaperones to travel with HS and FA bands to Owasso. Email bafunctions@gmail.com to help.



SPECIAL EVENTS

The Broken Arrow Band Program hosted a WGPO Indoor Percussion Event February 2, 2019. To all that volunteered thank you very much. We had over 50 volunteers and had a great event. Again a big thanks to all.

Next event will be hosted on Friday, March 29th so save the date for Indoor Percussion Championships. More details will follow in the next coming weeks.

Important to remember - if you turn in money from selling chocolate, please mark it as a band payment so that it gets posted to Charms that way; you will have already paid the profit upfront.
