Next Band Parent / Booster Meeting on April 16
The next meeting will be on Tuesday, April 16 at 7:00pm in the HS Band Hall. Details for the Pride Banquet, Booster Club Officer Elections and many other important agenda items will be addressed at this upcoming meeting.

TCC Band Festival this Friday
Each of the HS wind bands (BAHS & Freshman Academy) will appear in the TCC Band Festival on Thursday, March 29. Refer to itineraries that have been distributed by your student's band director. The performances are free and open to the public.


OBA / BOA Regional Concert Band Festival This Thursday
The HS Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band 1 will participate in this week’s OBA / BOA Regional Concert Band Festival. This educational performance and clinic will feature many bands from the region in this unique performance festival. CLICK HERE for the itinerary.


2019 Pride Veteran Movement Training Sessions
All 2019 Pride Horn Line Veterans will begin their off-season training program on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings beginning on March 29 & 30. This will be a dynamic and fun way for our members to be visually prepared for the upcoming 2019 season (similar to our Color Guard Veteran training sessions). Veterans will wear appropriate clothing for visual rehearsals (instruments will not be needed).

Training dates will occur on:
March 29 - Friday - 6:00-9:00
March 30 - Saturday - 9:00-12:00
April 12 - Friday - 4:00-7:00
April 13 - Saturday - 9:00-12:00


Pride Banquet Save the Date - April 26
Save the Date! The Pride Banquet is tentatively scheduled for Friday, April 26th at the Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center. Ticket Information will be available soon. This will be an amazing event to celebrate all of the successes of the season.  Tickets will go on sale beginning Monday, April 1 at the HS Band Office. Tickets are $50 each (2019 members receive a free ticket with a $0 balance account). The banquet is moving this year to the Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center in Broken Arrow. Seating is limited in this venue and tickets sales will end once the first 700 tickets have been purchased (including 2018 Pride members). This will be a great event to celebrate the incredible 2018 season!


Banquet and Account fees!
Banquet is coming up! All Pride members receive a ticket as part of their season fees; however, any student account having a balance due results in that student not receiving their banquet ticket. ALL accounts should now be paid in full. Please check your balances by logging on to www.charmsoffice.com or contact Lisa Good in the band office, lsgood@baschools.org.

9:00 PM: PERFORMANCE
9:10 PM: Equipment to Percussion Studio/Band Hall, Report to Aux Gym for Full Massing
10:00 PM: Fold Event Tarp, Change Out of Uniform, Dismiss following Massing


Indoor Percussion Payments and Dues

Checks can given to Mrs. Good in the Fine Arts office or placed in the Fine Arts Wing payment dropbox located in the Orchestra Hallway.  All Student Fees are now past due.



2019 Color Guard Auditions THIS WEEK at BAHS
Auditions for the 2019 Pride Color Guard are this Monday & Tuesday from 5:00-9:00pm at the BAHS Band Facility and Auxiliary Gym.



Broken Arrow Jazz Bands
The Broken Arrow Jazz 1 and E-Jazz Ensembles will be traveling to Oklahoma State University on Monday, April 1st to participate in the Oklahoma State Jazz Festival. All performances are held in the OSU Student Union; E-Jazz performs at 11:00 AM (2nd Floor Ballroom) and Jazz 1 performs at 2:00 PM (4th Floor- Starlight Terrace). Charms Service will be Ending and we will be using a NEW account management Software called “CUT TIME”

We are in the process of transitioning to our NEW student / parent account management software called “CUT TIME.” Stay tuned to eNews for the latest info and tutorials to access your parent and student account info in Cut Time.

FUNCTIONS

Volunteers Needed for March and April concert events:

  • We are in need of 4 additional volunteers to chaperone TCC BandFest on Friday, March 29th. This is for both the High School and Freshman Academy bands. Click here to sign up to chaperone.
  • April 9th we will need 12 chaperones to travel with HS and FA bands to Owasso. Email bafunctions@gmail.com to help.



SPECIAL EVENTS

The Broken Arrow Band Program will be hosting our final event on Friday, March 29th for the Indoor Percussion Championships.  Volunteer sign ups are HERE.

This event is short and sweet but we will need volunteers for concession and event staff.  We will need people to start arriving around 5:30-6:30 and the event will end by 9:30.  Hope to see you there!

Important to remember - if you turn in money from selling chocolate, please mark it as a band payment so that it gets posted to Charms that way; you will have already paid the profit upfront.
