2019 Pride Membership ANNOUNCED!
We are pleased to announce the membership of the 2019 edition of the Pride of Broken Arrow Marching Band. This is going to be an amazing Marching Band; ALL sections are looking VERY strong for this season!! Thank you to all who participated in the Audition Camps. A complete listing can be found on the Pride’s website at www.BrokenArrowPride.com. An Informative and Required Parent Meeting will begin at 7:00pm NEXT WEEK on Thursday, May 16th at the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center. All parents plan to attend this meeting.

Leadership Applications
- Pride Veterans interested in applying for the Pride Leadership Team need to pick up an application directly from Mr. Wiencken in the High School Percussion Studio. Drum Major applications are due by May 15; all other applications are due to Mr. Wiencken by May 29.


Rooster Day Parade & Uniform Check in
The Rooster Day Parade is Saturday, May 11 with a 9:45 report time at the parking lot a block east of Main Street on College (Same place we met fro the Christmas Parade). The Parade begins at 10:30am and the Pride & Tradition will wear full Black uniform. Pride members WILL WEAR their shakos that have been previously checked out to them. Uniforms may be picked up from the uniform room on Tuesday OR Friday from 3:30-6:30. Uniform & Instrument check in follows the parade from 11:30 - 1:00 at BAHS.


Special Olympics Send Off Rally
On Wednesday (5/15), the HS Band Students will perform a brief Pep Rally as a Send Off for our BAHS students headed to the Oklahoma Special Olympics. This will be just outside the indoor athletic facility and begin at 7:45am. More detailed into to come once the event schedule is finalized.


Jazz Ensemble Auditions
Auditions for the 2019-20 Jazz 1 Ensemble will be held Monday, May 13th from 3:15-4:30 PM in the HS Jazz Room and Band Room. Information regarding the audition can be found here; music will be available Monday at the HS and FA Band Rooms.

Next Band Parent / Booster Meeting on May 16
The next meeting will be on Thursday, May 16 at 7:00pm at the BA PERFORMING ARTS CENTER.  See you there on May 16.

Freshmen Academy Band Concert - May 7 - 7:00PM - BAPAC
High School Band Concert - May 9 - 7:00PM - BAPAC
Rooster Day Parade - May 11 - 9:45 report time at College and 1st Street

NOTE:  The High School Concert IS the night AFTER Graduation and all Seniors are obviously required to attend the concert for the afternoon sound check.  Sound check schedules will be distributed during classes.


BAHS Graduation
Congratulations to our 2019 Graduates as you complete your High School careers! This is an exciting time to reflect on the great memories and look forward to their exciting futures! All Sophomore & Juniors from the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band 1 are required to perform at the 2019 BAHS Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday, May 8 at the Downtown Tulsa BOK Center. After school rehearsals for these students are May 6 & 7 from 3:00-5:30pm. On Graduation day, all Graduation band members will bus to and from the BOK Center.  On Graduation day, all Graduation band members will bus to and from the BOK Center.  Report time on Wednesday is 3:45 (dress up clothes - no jeans or tennis shoes) and we will return to BAHS by approximately 8:00pm.


Charms Service will be Ending and we will be using a NEW account management Software called “CUT TIME”

We are in the process of transitioning to our NEW student / parent account management software called “CUT TIME.” Stay tuned to eNews for the latest info and tutorials to access your parent and student account info in Cut Time.

FUNCTIONS

Donations of cookies and punch as well as help serving after the High School concert on May 9th is needed.  To help CLICK HERE.

Volunteers are need to help collect and take home to wash concert wear after the May 9th concert. Meet at the front of the auditorium at the end of the concert.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Thanks to all the volunteers that made the last WGPO event successful. We appreciate all the hard work and was excited about the outcome. Next event will be in June the Car Show. Get geared up for another great volunteer opportunity and fund raiser for the Pride.

INDIVIDUAL FUNDRAISER STARTED APRIL 16 - BA Bands Discount Cards
Started April 16! Cards sell for $12 each with $9 going to individual account. Payment must be made upfront when cards are picked up (cash or check only). Limit of 10 cards per pick up (at least until we gauge how many are participating). Discounts from Smokies, Los Mariachis, Happy Plate, Forest Ridge, Wild Meadows, Cicis, Pride Store, and many more! Keep an eye out on the Facebook group for a pickup time this week!


PRIDE OF BROKEN ARROW SPIRIT NIGHT AT MARBLE SLAB CREAMERY- MAY 7 FROM 5-8PM
Join us for a fundraiser dine out at Marble Slab on May 7 5pm to 8pm.20% of sales will be donated to BA Bands. Invite your family and friends!

CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER - Keep an eye out on the Facebook group for a pickup time this week!  Chocolate will be available for purchase at the band parent meeting May 16th at 6:00PM before the meeting and again after the meeting ends.  Chocolate will be available for purchase at the Tuesday band parent meeting at 6:00pM before the meeting and again after the meeting ends.  Remember, it is $60 per box paid upfront, with half of that going into your child's account.  Chocolate is ONLY sold during scheduled fundraiser pickup dates/times and band parent meetings.  Cash/checks for payment only please. Important to remember - if you turn in money from selling chocolate, please mark it as a band payment so that it gets posted correctly; you will have already paid the profit upfront. PRIDE WORK - Earn Money For Your Band Trip Account - There are so many ways to earn money for your band trip account! Start earning money now for the 2019 Indoor Percussion and 2019 Marching Season!

NEXT PRIDE STORE - the next Pride Store will be open at 6PM on Thursday, May 16th before the band parent meeting.  We will be open 6-7pm and again after the meeting.  We will have preorder forms available for the 2019-2020 season and we are hoping to have some new merchandise ready for you to take home!  We will have a way to place preorders online to save you time in lines!  I hope to have that up before the 16th!
