Spring High School Band Trips
We are thrilled that all 5 High School Concert Bands will travel to participate in World Class Concert Band Events outside the State of Oklahoma. All trips are required as part of each students enrollment in the Performance Based Classes of the High School Concert Bands. Fundraising opportunities are available to assist students in making their monthly payments. Please contact our BABBC Fundraising Chair at BABandFundraising@gmail.com for more information. Basketball Band Performances for All HS Band Members
Each of the HS band classes are required to perform at the HS Basketball games. Games are assigned by class / group. Should a student be enrolled in more than one band class, they must perform at the corresponding game to fulfill their band class requirement for each class they are enrolled. Students may volunteer to attend additional games but no substitutions are permitted. Report time for each event is 6:00pm and students are to wear their Pride / Tradition Band T Shirt. For each session the band will play at the girls and boys varsity basketball games. Games are typically completed by approximately 9:15pm. The schedule is as follows:

12/10 - Tuesday - Concert Band 1 - COMPLETED
12/17 - Tuesday - Symphonic Band
11/21 - Tuesday - Symphonic Band 2
1/31 - Friday - Wind Ensemble
2/14 - Friday - Concert Band 2
2/18 - Tuesday - 2019 Pride Leadership


Account Payments - Balance Due
All Pride 2019 accounts are past now due. Please make arrangements to pay any outstanding balances. Credit card payments may be made here. Payment schedules for Symphonic Band, Indoor Percussion and Wind Ensemble can be found below. High School Wind Ensemble - Chicago Trip
The BAHS Wind Ensemble will travel to Chicago for the Festival of Gold in famed Orchestra Hall of the Chicago Symphony Center. The trip will take place April 4-7. Estimated cost of the trip is $1250 per student; with a payment schedule of $250 due each month from December through April. The first payment of $250 is due by December 20.


All District and All State Clinic Rehearsals & Concerts
Congratulations to all students that auditioned at the NBDA/OMEA event. We are very proud of the efforts of these talented students. Also, a special THANK YOU to all of the parent and student volunteers that help organize and run the All-District/State auditions! The following are dates of note relating to All District (NBDA) and All State (OMEA) Band.
  • January 10 & 11 - NBDA All District Band Clinic and Concert at Bartlesville HS
  • January 16-18 - OMEA All State Band Clinic and Concert at Tulsa PAC

E Jazz Auditions - This Wednesday
Auditions for the 2018-19 E-Jazz Band will be held at BAHS on Wednesday (12/18) from 3:15-4:30 PM. E-Jazz is open to all band students in grades 9-12; rhythm section members (drums, bass, guitar, bass guitar, piano) are open to all fine arts students. Audition materials will be available this week in the BAHS and BA Freshman Academy Band Room(s).



Indoor Percussion
Rehearsal schedule for the week includes the following:

  Monday, December 16th: 4:00-9:00 PM (Battery and Front Ensemble)*
  Wednesday, December 17th: 3:30-6:00 PM (Battery and Front Ensemble)
  Thursday, December 19th: 3:30-7:00 PM (Battery and Front Ensemble)

*this is an update to the previous calendar for VE members


Member Fees
Member dues for the 2020 BA Indoor Season will be $1200. The following dates are when payments are due:

December 20th (THIS FRIDAY!): $200
January 10th: $250
February 1st: $250
March 1st: $250
April 1st: $250

Checks for payments can be given to Mrs. Good or placed in the payment drop box at the HS.


Percussion Ensemble Concert
The annual Percussion Ensemble Concert featuring all BAHS and FA percussionists will now be on Friday, February 7th at 7:00 PM at Kirkland Theater; this is an update to the previously scheduled date.


E Jazz Auditions
Auditions for the 2019-20 E-Jazz Band will be held at BAHS on Wednesday, December 18th from 3:15-4:30 PM at BAHS. E-Jazz is open to all band students in grades 9-12; rhythm section members (drums, bass, guitar, bass guitar, piano) are open to all BA fine arts students. BA BANDS DISCOUNT CARDS
We are still offering BA Bands Discount Cards.  Cards sell for $12 each with $9 going to individual accounts.  Payments must be made upfront when cards are picked up (cash or check only)  Discounts from smokies, Los Mariachis, Happy Plate, Forest Ridge, Wild Meadows, Cicis, Pride Store, and many more!


BUTTER BRAIDS FUNDRAISER: All orders will be due by December 2nd by 5:30. Christi will be at the band hall from 4:30 - 5:30 on Monday to collect orders or you can put them in the payment box during the day.

QT CARD FUNDRAISER: We will also be starting QT card fundraiser sales. The cards have changed somewhat, but they still sell for $20 with $10 profit going to your student account. I will be picking cards up on Monday and can have those available at the end of SB1 Rehearsal at 3:00. We will sell these through January 3rd.


CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER - We will have chocolate available for purchase this week on Monday evening from 5:00-6:30 in the band hall.  Chocolate will be available for purchase at the Tuesday band parent meeting at 6:00pM before the meeting and again after the meeting ends.  Remember, it is $60 per box paid upfront, with half of that going into your child's account.  Cash/checks for payment only please. Important to remember - if you turn in money from selling chocolate, please mark it as a band payment so that it gets posted correctly; you will have already paid the profit upfront.
